How it works

Why we exist

Choosing a school shouldn't be a guessing game.

01

Transparency

Brochures and open days only tell one side of the story. Families deserve honest, comparable information from parents whose children are actually there.

02

The best schooling experience for every child

When families can see what's working, they can choose a school that fits their child, and notice early when something isn't right.

03

Keeping schools accountable

Regular, independent feedback shows schools what families value and where they need to improve. Good schools get the recognition they deserve.

04

By parents, for parents

Every insight comes from verified families, one response per household for each school. Nothing we publish identifies a parent, a child or a teacher.

How it works

Three simple steps.

1

Parents rate their school

A quick email check, then about 10 minutes of questions about the school and your child's year group. One response per household for each school, each year.

2

We combine the answers

A school's results only appear once at least five families have responded. Responses that look fraudulent are removed first.

3

Families get clear reports

Easy-to-read summaries help families compare schools, and give schools an honest picture of how they're doing.

Privacy and safety

Anonymous by design.

  • Your email stays privateIt's used only to confirm one response per household for each school, and to send the summaries you ask for. It's stored separately from your answers.
  • No names, everWe never ask for or publish the name of a student or teacher. Teaching is only reported for a whole year group.
  • Safety in numbersResults only appear once at least five families from a school have responded, so no single family can be picked out.

Coming soon

Reports, three ways.

Once enough families have responded, we'll publish easy-to-read reports. Each one is built only from combined answers, never from a single family.

What a report could look like

This example uses made-up numbers for a made-up school. Real reports open school by school, once enough families from each school have taken part.

Taking the survey helps your school get there sooner.
